As someone that raised my family in the area, and knowing so many people in the community, the answer is a resounding YES!
And here is why.
Upper Lonsdale is known for great views with accessibility to the North Shore outdoors and nature including parks, creeks, wildlife and nature including mountain biking and hiking trails. There are many miles of trails taking to the back country to enjoy (be safe and always be prepared with proper dress, food and safety and let people know where you are going). Above the highway, up Lonsdale Avenue and five blocks wither side of Lonsdale is considered to be part of Upper Lonsdale. The area is home to Queens Cross Pub, Queensdale Market and a handful of local businesses.
